Biography
Liska Chan is an Associate Professor and Head of the Landscape Architecture Department in the College of Design at the University of Oregon. Her interdisciplinary research-based practice includes countermapping of urban environmental histories, memorializing slow environmental catastrophes, installing ephemeral public land art, and, most recently, studying the potential of ad-hoc space-making in cities. Her articles have appeared in the Journal of American Culture, Journal of Landscape Architecture, Journal of Urban Cultural Studies, and Journal of Environmental Values.
