Biography

Becky Nussbaum Gerro returned to River Legacy in 2016 in a new role as Fund Development Coordinator. Becky was one of the first Nature School teachers and then the first Director of Nature School when the program began in 1996 and co-wrote the curriculum. Becky has loved River Legacy since 1988, and she is very excited about raising money to continue the Legacy.

Becky studied at Texas A&M and Texas Woman’s University. She earned a BS in Special Education and one in Elementary Education. She taught early childhood in HEB and preschool science in Arlington. She also co-founded and managed ACP International, a sign manufacturing company. Becky helped establish The Big Event at Texas A&M – the largest student led service project in the world, so she knows a few things about service, volunteering and supporting a cause you are passionate about.
