Biography

Kevin Sloan, ASLA, RLA, Honorary AIA Dallas, is a landscape architect, urban planner, writer, and educator. The work of his professional practice, Kevin Sloan Studio in Dallas, Texas, has been nationally and internationally recognized. Currently the Chair of the Urban Design Peer Review Committee at Dallas City Hall, he holds a Master of Architecture degree from Syracuse University, and has taught architecture at the Syracuse University School of Architecture in Florence. Currently, a Professor of Practice in Architecture at the University of Texas Arlington College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs and recently nominated for the UTA Outstanding Creative Activity Award.The professional work of Kevin Sloan Studio typically involves a synthesis of landscape and architecture. Projects range from large planning commissions such as the DFW Branch Waters Network which examines the entire watershed network of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, as an attraction to form urban density with nature.
